Driftwood and Pebbles — West Coast Coastal Kitchen Renovation, Vancouver Island

One of the most comprehensive kitchen renovations in the Aligned Kitchen and Cabinets portfolio, this Vancouver Island project transformed a closed, dated kitchen into a breathtaking coastal-inspired space that genuinely brings the outdoors in. The scope included a kitchen window expansion, full wall removal to open the layout, new flooring, ceiling lighting, and a complete plumbing relocation.

The design brief was inspired by the natural textures of the West Coast — warm driftwood tones in the cabinetry, a pebble-like quartz countertop surface, and warm white base cabinets that balance the organic palette with lightness and calm. The result evokes standing at the ocean's edge without a single nautical cliché in sight.

A significant technical challenge was levelling a severely uneven subfloor before any finishes could be laid — exactly the kind of behind-the-scenes complexity that full project coordination by a certified interior designer handles seamlessly. Adrianna managed every trade and every decision, from demolition to the final reveal.
